Much improved weather over the last few weeks has allowed our team to continue testing the structure. A big mile stone was crossed yesterday when the stairs went in for the first time! Very exciting to be able to walk up and down them!

It was a cold and wet day, but we were so excited to have all the parts that we had to put it up! All the time spent on accuracy has really worked for us. Parts fitted first time and bolts slid through the holes with out effort!

Placing the pole sample on the plug. Not to tight not to loose a perfect fit. Just the right amount of tolerance. Roll on the panels so that we can do it for real.

This is the first time charlie and I had seen the finished moulds separate from the plug… and the results are fantastic! Straight edges … no undulations looks great!

Testing out the new canting feet. Not only are these lighter than our original flat feet, they can tilt to over 7degrees which removes the untidy need to chock the legs like everyone else does!

I was amazed how light the foot plates were, I think they look amazing too! The spinnaker pole fitting are very robust.

I had a fun time putting this up by myself. Learnt alot about the fabric, its been well made. Cant wait to put it on the structure (it would be alot easier with a frame and other pairs of hands to help). Looking great. I’m happy with that.

The mould has been cured to 60 degrees then taken off the plug. In order for us to use the Mould at least 150 times for panels the mould needs to be taken up to 120 degrees c. That is why its going to the RNLI to become a serious bit of kit! Unfortunately it [...]

The blinds have arrived!! These blinds use a special mesh which keeps the wind and rain away but still allows you to see out when the blinds are closed. The blinds can be powered by hand or electric motor if desired.
